Job Purpose

The Fatherhood & Diaper Distribution Supervisor supports Healthier Moms and Babies’ (HMB) mission by strengthening father involvement through group-based education, outreach, and mobile diaper distribution. This position facilitates group education sessions for fathers and male caregivers, promotes father engagement, and coordinates Hopper outreach activities.

This individual will assist with diaper distribution and outreach efforts via HMB mobile outreach unit, The Hopper. They will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Hopper outreach efforts by regularly attending and leading events, facilitating group education sessions, and helping ensure smooth and efficient distribution operations across Allen and surrounding counties.

In addition, the Fatherhood & Diaper Distribution Supervisor provides direct supervision to the Diaper Distribution Outreach Coordinator and Warehouse Coordinator, to ensure efficient diaper distribution operations, inventory and warehouse management, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and program reporting that align with HMB’s mission and goals.

  • Father Engagement & Education

    • Recruit, engage, and retain fathers and male caregivers in program activities.

    • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate fatherhood group education sessions using evidence-based curriculum (24/7 Dad, Parents as Teachers).

    • Conduct one-on-one meetings and/or home visits as needed.

    • Promote father involvement, healthy relationships, parenting skills, and life skills development.

    • Connect participants with community resources, healthcare providers, and HMB services.

    • Identify and refer eligible clients to HMB-specific programs and refer to Intake.

    • Maintain accurate documentation and meet/exceed established benchmarks.

    • Report any case that may involve “imminent harm” or “threatened harm” . Always intervene on behalf of the child when necessary.

    Hopper Events & Outreach

    • The Supervisor will provide guidance, support, and oversight to the Diaper Distribution Coordinator to ensure the following activities are carried out effectively. The Supervisor is expected to step in and assist as needed, and assume responsibility in the Coordinator’s absence:

      · Leading and attending Hopper diaper distribution and outreach events across Allen and surrounding counties.

      · Coordinating event logistics, including setup, eligibility verification, diaper tracking, and participant surveys.

      · Ensuring client engagement, safety, and integration of educational components into outreach events.

      · Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety standards of The Hopper.

      · Recording and monitoring fuel, mileage, and event data in accordance with regulatory requirements.

      · Training, supervising, and supporting staff and volunteers at outreach events.

      · Representing HMB in a professional, positive manner with partner agencies, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

    Supervision & Oversight

    • The Fatherhood & Diaper Distribution Supervisor provides direct supervision, guidance, and support to the Diaper Distribution Outreach Coordinator and the Warehouse Coordinator. This role ensures both positions are effective in carrying out their responsibilities related to diaper distribution, warehouse operations, and fatherhood program engagement.

    • Provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to direct reports.

    • Support staff in meeting goals for data collection, community partnerships, client referrals, inventory management, warehouse operations, and volunteer engagement.

    • Ensure diaper distribution and warehouse functions are aligned with HMB’s mission, program standards, and compliance requirements.

    • Monitor staff participation in trainings and professional development, ensuring best practices are followed.

    • Collaborate with organizational leadership to assess program needs, recommend improvements, and strengthen community partnerships.

    • Conduct regular check-ins with staff, offering guidance, problem-solving, and opportunities for professional growth.

    • Oversee safety, compliance, and operational protocols related to diaper distribution and warehouse activities.

    • Oversee accurate and timely data input using web-based software and reporting system

    • Ensure the effective use of volunteers and maintain a welcoming, organized, and safe environment for clients, staff, and partners.

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Collaborate with HMB staff to integrate father engagement strategies with diaper distribution efforts.

    • Communicate regularly with leadership about program progress, community needs, and staff performance.

    • Foster strong relationships with partner organizations, healthcare providers, and referral entities.

    • Contribute to a positive, mission-driven work environment that values respect, accountability, and client-centered service.

    • Meet regularly with the supervisor to review participant cases, event logistics, and ongoing goals.

    • Takes initiative and responsibility for decisions as an individual and as a staff member of HMB.

    • Work evenings and weekends as needed.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

    • Minimum of two years’ experience and a proven track record in a supervisory role required

    • Experience in health education, case management, social services and/or low-income families

    • Experience with inventory management systems preferred

    • Previous experience with fathers/male caregivers strongly preferred.

    • Ability to facilitate group classes and provide culturally competent support.

    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to lift and transport diapers and other supplies as needed.

    • Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel throughout Allen and surrounding counties.

    • Valid driver’s license required.

    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Office, and Excel is required.
