You Can Help
We welcome volunteer help at Healthier Moms and
Babies! Below you will find a listing of some of
the Volunteer Opportunities that are currently
available.
Contact us
today if you would like to get involved!
Mailings
Volunteers are needed 4-6 times a year to
prepare mass mailings of newsletters or letters.
This work usually takes a group about 3-4 hours.
Office work
During special projects or vacations, help is
sometimes needed in the office for simple tasks,
such as copying, filing, organizing baby
supplies or telephone calls. This is very
flexible work.
Bedrest Brigade
Volunteers are needed to take an evening meal to
families served by Healthier Moms and Babies
where the pregnant woman is on physician-ordered bedrest. A screening and training is
needed for this. Once screened and trained, a
volunteer would not be asked more than once a
week to provide this service, and probably for
only a few weeks at a time.
Fundraising Luncheon
Healthier Moms and Babies holds an annual
fundraising luncheon in the spring. Volunteers
are needed to recruit sponsors and table
leaders, to gather supplies and decorate, to
design printed materials and to help with other
tasks. Luncheon committee meetings usually begin
in January and are held every two to three weeks
until the event just before Mother’s Day in May.
